Reminder of Transit Service Changes in Effect
Eight routes will see changes to service schedules starting Monday, August 31, in response to an increase in ridership. Visit Regina.ca/transit for the most up to date transit schedules and information.
Passenger capacity will also be increased on buses with all seats to be available. This will make physical distancing difficult, so a face mask or covering will be mandatory for passengers to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Masks will be required until the Saskatchewan Health Authority recommends otherwise.
A transitional period is anticipated as customers get used to wearing a mask on buses and our focus will be on awareness and education of passengers. Signage will be placed on transit buses, at bus shelters and information on our website
Starting Monday, August 31, the new and innovative transit option, On Demand, will be available for residents along the Route 10 service zone.
With On Demand, customers request a bus to meet them at a time and bus stop of their choice. The bus will drop them at a specific bus stop within the Route #10 service zone. Visit Regina.ca/ondemand to learn more about this four-month pilot program.
In addition, the Special High School transit service returns on Tuesday, September 8.
