Ring Road – Albert Street North to McDonald Street
Starting Tuesday, September 7, CN Railway will be upgrading the rail crossing at Ring Road between Winnipeg Street and McDonald Street, weather dependent. Following CN’s work, City crews will repair the asphalt at the crossing.
Due to the current restrictions in place for the Winnipeg Street Overpass project, traffic will be restricted for a longer section of Ring Road to accommodate the work.
Starting at 8 a.m., drivers may want to consider alternate routes as:
- Ring Road traffic will be restricted to one lane in both directions between Albert Street North and McDonald Street in the eastbound lanes.
- Westbound traffic on Ring Road will not be able to exit at Winnipeg Street or Albert Street North.
- Ring Road westbound is accessible from Winnipeg Street.
CN will operate custom train signals at the tracks for westbound traffic. Please use caution.
The restrictions for CN’s upgrade will be removed by 8 a.m. on Friday, September 10.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience. Slow down and be safe. Workers and their families are relying on you.
Visit the Road Report for other traffic restrictions.
