Road Restricted on Albert Street Bridge Water Barrier Removal for Spring Runoff
City of Regina crews have been busy opening storm drains and pumping spring melt water as part of our spring runoff activities.
On Friday, April 8 starting at 11 a.m. the City will be removing temporary barriers under the Albert Street Memorial Bridge to help get water and remaining ice moving safely through Regina.
Two-way traffic on Albert Street will be maintained in the southbound lanes. The work is expected to be complete by 4 p.m.
As the melt water passes through the city, there will be extremely cold, fast flowing water and undertows. Debris and hidden dangers are added hazards. Residents are reminded to stay safe and keep their children and pets away from creeks, lakes, storm channels and ditches.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience. For everyone’s safety, we ask for your cooperation by staying out of the work areas.
