Saskatchewan Drive - Angus Street to Retallack Street
Over the next couple of weeks, a contractor will be completing sewer relining work at different locations on behalf of the City of Regina. This project will use a technique that seals a new liner inside the current sewer main to restore the pipe without replacement. As this method is much less invasive than the tradition trenching method, it is more cost-effective and saves on road renewal.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, drivers may want to consider alternate routes as eastbound traffic on Saskatchewan Drive between Angus Street and Retallack Street will be restricted to one lane. In addition, some left turn movements will be restricted.
This work is expected to be complete in one day, depending on weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Other locations where work will be taking place include Victoria Avenue – Lorne Street to Hamilton Street, Pasqua Street – Parliament Avenue and Avonhurst Drive – Elphinstone Street. The City will share traffic restriction details prior to the start date of each location.
Transit routes may be affected. Riders are encouraged to check with Regina Transit for bus stop and route changes.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience while this important infrastructure work is being completed. Slow down, plan ahead and be safe. Workers and their families are relying on you.
