Scarth Street - Victoria Avenue to 12th Avenue
On Wednesday, September 8, the Street Infrastructure Renewal project on Scarth Street will continue with SaskPower upgrading their infrastructure. Once SaskPower’s work is finished, the City will complete concrete work, install streetlights and then resurface the road.
Starting at 6 a.m., drivers will need to consider alternate routes as Scarth Street will be closed to traffic between Victoria Avenue and 12th Avenue. Please be reminded:
- Hamilton Street is a temporary two-way street between 12th Avenue and Victoria Avenue.
- The north alley between Scarth Street and Hamilton Street is not accessible from Scarth Street.
- Businesses along Scarth Street are accessible by sidewalk and residents are encouraged to support local.
This project is dependent on weather or unforeseen circumstances and is anticipated to be complete by the end of October.
The City of Regina is making progress on resident’s priorities by investing $16.8 million for Street Infrastructure Renewal through the 2021 construction program. This program is primarily focused on improving major roads such as expressways, arterial and collector category roads.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience. Slow down and be safe. Workers and their families are relying on you.
