Sunset Drive – Rae Street to Montague Street
This project had been previously announced to start at an earlier date.
Starting on Monday, June 22, a project begins along Sunset Drive between Rae Street and Montague Street. This project will improve sections of concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, as well as resurface the roadway.
Work begins at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 22 and will be completed in phases for minimal disruption and to ensure two-way traffic is always maintained. The work will take place on one side of Sunset Drive at a time with concrete improvements followed immediately by paving of the asphalt surface.
The intersections of Montague Street and Rae Street will remain open however, drivers may want to consider alternate routes as the intersections between them will require closures as the work progresses. Watch for signs.
This work is weather dependent and is expected to be complete in nine weeks.
