Sweep moves to residential neighbourhoods
Street sweeping freshens up our community by sweeping the leaves, sand and debris off our roads, boulevards and sidewalks. Crews begin sweeping residential neighbourhoods on Monday, May 11.
With the increased number of citizens working from home and self-isolating, sweeping residential streets from curb to curb will be challenging. Therefore, we need resident’s cooperation to ensure this is a successful sweep. Residents can help by:
- Knowing when their street will be swept.
- Parking off-street on those days.
- Offering to share driveways with neighbours.
Watch for the bright orange signs placed at the main access points of each neighbourhood, or check Regina.ca/sweep to view a map or list of the street sweeping schedule.
Crews will be sweeping Monday to Friday in two shifts, 4 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Street sweepers create dusty conditions that reduce visibility. Close your windows and walk on alternative sidewalks. If you see dust and sweeping equipment, give them lots of room, slow down and be safe.
