‘Tis the Season to Green Your Holiday
This time of year should be about family, friends and fun – not extra waste. During the holiday season, the amount of waste generated increases by approximately 25 per cent.
There are many ways residents can have a greener holiday season through gathering, gifting and decorating. Simple changes like reusing holiday items, giving waste-less gifts and recycling the right stuff can make a big impact.
When it’s time for holiday clean up, residents can follow our recycling checklist to properly sort out “naughty” and “nice” items into their blue cart. Be sure to check it twice!
