Ring Road Bridges Over Wascana Creek Update
Progress continues on the Ring Road bridges over Wascana Creek between Wascana Parkway and Assiniboine Avenue as construction moves to the southbound bridge on Saturday, August 3. This project is on schedule to be complete by the end of October 2019.
Two-way traffic will be maintained on Ring Road with a speed reduction to ensure the safety of drivers and workers. Northbound traffic will continue to be allowed to exit onto Assiniboine Avenue.
The City of Regina is investing $7.5 million to replace these bridges as they are in an advanced state of deterioration and it is more economical to replace them than repair them. This project will see new foundations, girders, concrete deck, asphalt surface and safety barriers installed.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience. Slow down, plan ahead and be safe. Workers and their families are relying on you.
