Traffic Signal Replacements Arcola Avenue - College Avenue / Broad Street - 8th Avenue
Starting at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, the City of Regina will be working on traffic signals at two intersections in our community.
New traffic signals will be installed at Arcola Avenue and College Avenue to increase safety by providing a protected left turn for westbound traffic, as well as a dedicated turn for northbound traffic on College Avenue.
In addition, the current traffic signals will be replaced at Broad Street and 8th Avenue.
These improvement projects will be completed in phases, starting with the installation of signal bases, underground work, installing junction boxes, traffic controllers, and signal poles, finishing up with putting the traffic signals into operation.
Work will be completed intermittently over the next six weeks and is dependent on weather or unforeseen circumstances.
At both locations, crews will be focusing on one corner of the intersection at a time, rotating through each as work progresses. Traffic may be restricted at the corners intermittently. Pedestrian access will be maintained at Broad Street and 8th Avenue.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience. Slow down, plan ahead and be safe. Workers and their families are relying on you.
