Victoria Avenue – Broad Street to Albert Street
Starting Tuesday, November 3, crews will begin installing median lights along Victoria Avenue between Broad Street and Albert Street. These lights contribute to a vibrant downtown and are one of the remaining tasks of the Victoria Avenue Infrastructure Improvement & Beautification Project.
Work will be completed in two block sections, starting at Broad Street and progressing to Albert Street. Each section is anticipated to take three days, with the entire installation completed by Friday, November 20.
Starting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, drivers may want to consider alternate routes as traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Broad Street and Hamilton Street.
Once complete, crews will move to the next sections as follows:
- Hamilton Street to Cornwall Street
- Cornwall Street to Smith Street
- Smith Street to Albert Street
Crews will be working between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday and to reduce impact to drivers, the restriction will be removed on weekends and the Statutory holiday on November 11.
