I Love Regina Day
I Love Regina Day is set to take place Saturday, July 18, 2015 in Victoria Park.
In the case of poor weather, please check back for updates.
Features of this year’s event include a FREE barbeque, children’s activities, giveaways and much more! Event activities will commence at 9 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m.
- Regina Mascots will be on site for photo opportunities and hi-fives or hugs including Rainbow Bear from the Regina Rainbow Cinemas and Digger from Wascana Centre Authority.
- M and M Burgers will provide the BBQ with burgers (while quantities last) beginning at 11 a.m. in Victoria Park.
- Street Culture Project will be on site in Victoria Park painting children's face
- There will be two (2) dinobouncers located in Victoria Park for the children to enjoy!
Make sure you bring your camera to take in all the fun and a picnic blanket or lawn chair to enjoy all the entertainment.
- 9 a.m. Regina Farmer's Market
- 9 a.m. Exhibitors/Children's activities commence
- 10 a.m. Street Culture Project Face Painting (tent in Victoria Park)
- 10 a.m. Chess in the Park
- 10:30 a.m. Official welcome by Mayor Fougere
- 11 a.m. Free BBQ starts in Victoria Park
- 12 p.m. Culture on the Plaza
- 2 p.m. Event Conclusion
Please note: Pets will be allowed on site provided they are on a leash at all times, and the owners pick up after the pets.
Free parking is available on the 2nd and 3rd level of the City Hall Parkade with access off McIntyre Street. The City of Regina bears no responsibility for the security of vehicles or access. Parking will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Be sure to bring your own water bottle to the event. The City of Regina will have a water tanker available on site to fill up with clean drinking water. In case of a water emergency or major main break, the water tanker will not be available.

Regina Public Library
The RPL will be igniting your child’s love of reading by offering a selection of books for kids to peruse and check out, and mascot Booker will be there to say hello! Visit their booth to learn more about the full slate of Library programs, the RPL film theatre, the Dunlop Art Gallery, and the Summer Reading Contest and Club. You might even get a balloon and some temporary tattoos!
Saskatchewan Science Centre
The Saskatchewan Science Centre’s Go! Science Outreach team wants you to help us build exciting structures! Come and try your skills at building an igloo by visiting their booth in Victoria Park, and you might just leave with flyers and posters.
Take a look at one of the city’s updated fleet of Transit vehicles, and get your picture taken behind the big wheel! The City of Regina’s Transit Department provides safe, reliable, affordable and accessible transportation in support of Council’s vision for inclusiveness, accessibility, affordability and environmental sustainability. Regina Fire Services
The Regina Fire & Protective Services is a dynamic, highly trained and competent team that responds to more than 9,000 service incidents annually including but not limited to: fire suppression; technical rescue; hazardous material (hazmat); and emergency medical services (EMS). Other key services include fire prevention; public education and information; and emergency preparedness and awareness. Our staff members are dedicated and knowledgeable and this transfers into a safe community for our residents.
Regina Community Services
The City’s Community Services branch will be holding a colouring contest for boys and girls of all ages. You can also pick up a City of Regina foam football for instant summer fun!
Canadian Western Agribition
Canadian Western Agribition is filled with many family-friendly activities! Join us November 24-29 and connect with your favourite farm animals, learn about agriculture and take part in the many entertainment options including the rodeo, stock dogs, wild wool ride and more! Saturday, November 29 is Family Day at Agribition. Watch for the mascot parade, get your face painted and take in the Brandt Centre entertainment. Be sure to stop by our booth and see what Agribition is offering your family this November.
Sask Sports Hall of Fame
You could be a sports hero for the day when you try your hand at sports-themed games and crafts, courtesy of The Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame. The SSHF was established to honour outstanding Saskatchewan athletes, sport builders and championship teams, as well as preserving the history of Saskatchewan sport. There are 53 sports and over 500 inductees in the SSHF. We offer education programming for school or daycare groups looking for a low-cost outing. Come and visit us and see our display and artifacts from past and present inductees or try our new multisport simulator, FREE with paid admission or membership.
Regina Humane Society
Stop by the Adoption Army bus in Victoria Park, visit their mascots Bella and Barker, and participate in a craft-making exercise that will benefit our shelter animals. While waiting to find their forever home, the animals at the Regina Humane Society love to play with toys, and their favourite toys are the ones that children make for them! The RHS will have all the things you need to make a fun toy for a kitten or puppy to play with and make them happy all day long.
Bright Eyes Dog Rescue Ltd.
Bright Eyes Dog Rescue Ltd. is a Regina-based volunteer foster organization which takes dogs that are stray, abused or surrendered and cares for them in foster homes located throughout southern Saskatchewan until they are ready to go to their forever homes. Bright Eyes is celebrating five years in 2015, working to improve the lives of homeless dogs in Saskatchewan with over 700 dogs placed in loving homes since 2010. Visit them on I Love Regina Day to visit some dogs, enter our draw to win a door prize of dog toys and treats, or try your hand at colouring and crafts!

Safety comes first for the Red Cross during I Love Regina Day! Water safety mini-games will be featured at the Red Cross’ booth, offering kids a chance to learn how to stay safe while winning prizes. The Red Cross is an international organization that focuses on improving lives by using the power of all people. The Red Cross has many different programs such as Disaster Management, Injury Prevention, Respect Education, Restoring Family Links, and Water Safety.
