Mayor’s Run/Walk For Fitness set for Sunday
The annual Mayor’s Run/Walk For Fitness takes place this Sunday, September 24, 2017. Because the race starts and finishes on the City Hall courtyard and the route connects with Wascana Centre, there will be a number of traffic restrictions in place from early Sunday morning until approximately 1 p.m.
Regina Police Service will be directing traffic at the intersections of Smith Street and Victoria Avenue, Smith Street and College Avenue, and Broad Street and Wascana Drive. Additional barricades will be erected on 14th Avenue and 15th Avenue to prevent vehicles from accessing the race route on Smith Street.
The Mayor’s Run/Walk For Fitness is a fun, affordable family event aimed at exposing all Reginans to organized running races and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Those interested in signing up for the race can register in person on the main floor of City Hall on Friday, September 22 between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. or Sunday morning from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
