Multiple traffic restrictions for the weekend
Saturday, September 1
McCarthy Boulevard – Dalgliesh Drive to Rochdale Boulevard
The northbound lanes on McCarthy Boulevard will be opened over the weekend. Speed restrictions will be in place for both directions of traffic. Please use caution as the area is still a construction zone. Traffic restrictions will be put in place following the long weekend.
MacPherson Avenue - Hillsdale Street to Cowan Crescent
Westbound traffic will be rerouted for one day as crews complete pavement work.
Sunday, September 2
Victoria Avenue - Lindsay Street to Arcola Avenue
Starting at 7:30 a.m., eastbound traffic on Victoria Avenue will be detoured for 8 hours as crews work on water leaks.
Arcola Avenue - Victoria Avenue to McAra Street
Starting at 7:30 a.m., eastbound traffic on Arcola Avenue will be detoured for 8 hours as crews work on water leaks.
Monday, September 3
McCarthy Boulevard - 4th Avenue to Mikkelson Drive
McCarthy Boulevard will be closed to traffic for one day as crews work to repair a water leak. Traffic will be detoured – watch for signs.
Tuesday, September 4
Ring Road - Victoria Avenue to Arcola Avenue
Between 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., southbound traffic on Ring Road will be restricted to one lane as crews work on paint lines. This work will require a closure of the on/off ramps at Arcola Avenue. This work is expected to be complete in three nights.
Albert Street - 12th Avenue to 11th Avenue
The northbound curb lane will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. as contractors are working. This work is expected to be complete in four days.
7th Avenue - McIntosh Street to Empress Street
7th Avenue will be closed to traffic as contractors work on water/sewer connections. This work is expected to be complete in nine days.
Wascana Drive – College Avenue
Access to Wascana Drive from College Avenue will be closed due to construction activity until Fall 2019. Residents wishing to access Wascana Pool should enter Wascana Drive from the Broadway Avenue/Broad Street entrance. Pedestrian and bicycle access from College Avenue at Wascana Drive is still available. For more information about this project, visit www.conexusbuildingcommunities.ca.
Transit riders are encouraged to check with Regina Transit to determine if any restrictions or closures impacts their routes or bus stops.
