Regina Firefighters Receive Exemplary Service Medals

His Honour the Honourable Tom Molloy, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan,
presented three members of Regina Fire & Protective Services with the Canadian
Fire Services Exemplary Service Medal:
 
The recipients are:
• Fire Marshal Randy Ryba – 40 years
• Assistant Chief Neil Sundeen – 30 years
• Captain Kevin MacKay – 30 years
 
“Today three members of the Regina Fire Department are recognized for their
highest level of achievement and professionalism while keeping our community safe.
Serving as an example of commendable actions in challenging situations, they
educate, protect and save lives. These honourees are mentors and leaders for all
firefighters and we are fortunate to have them serving our community,” said Regina
Fire Chief Layne Jackson.
 
Recipients of the award must have completed a minimum of 20 years of service with
one or more recognized Canadian fire services. Exemplary service is characterized
by good conduct, diligence and efficiency that serves as a model for others.
