The Jingle Bus jingles with donations! Regina residents showed just how much they care for others this past weekend.
Today, Regina Transit announced with great pleasure that the three day Jingle Bus promotion raised $12,625! Customers were encouraged to donate their coins to two local charities, and today a cheque was presented to the Salvation Army and Regina Food Bank, each receiving half of the grand total.
“It is truly amazing to see our city come together and help residents in need,” said Mayor Michael Fougere. “The Jingle Bus program has been a very beneficial holiday tradition, and I am so proud of our Transit users for stepping up and making a difference. Thank you, Regina.”
A big thank you to our program sponsors, Rawlco Radio, Pattison Outdoor Advertising, Sleek Signs and Brown Communications.
The City of Regina offered free bus service to residents from December 14-16. This was the fourth year of the program.
