Traffic Advisory – Road Closed - Ross Avenue and Winnipeg Street intersection/Winnipeg Street – 4th Avenue and 1st Avenue
Starting Thursday, September 14, drivers should consider alternate routes as crews will resume working at the intersection of Winnipeg Street and Ross Avenue. This work was put on hold to provide a construction-free, alternate route for commuters during the Arcola Detention Pond Project.
This project will improve both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. This phase will focus on concrete work including extending the left turn bay from Ross Avenue. Work is expected to be complete in five weeks, depending on weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Work begins in the westbound lanes of Ross Avenue at Winnipeg Street with the following closures:
• Ross Avenue westbound will be closed.
• Winnipeg Street traffic will be detoured between 4th Avenue and 1st Avenue. The direction of traffic will be determined as the work proceeds along Ross Avenue.
Work then moves to the eastbound lanes of Ross Avenue at Winnipeg Street with the following traffic restrictions/closures:
• Ross Avenue eastbound will be closed.
• Winnipeg Street northbound traffic will be restricted.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience while this important infrastructure work is being completed. For everyone’s safety, drivers are reminded to slow down in construction zones and to consider alternate routes to avoid construction. Workers and their families are relying on you.
