Traffic Advisory – Road Restrictions - Dewdney Avenue – Kent Street to Aberdeen Street
Starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, drivers may want to consider alternate routes as work begins on Dewdney Avenue between Kent Street and Aberdeen Street.
This work will include upgrading the turning lanes at McCarthy Boulevard, isolated replacement of sidewalk, curb and gutter, repairs to medians and road resurfacing. This phase of the project is expected to be complete in 11 weeks, depending on weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction with a speed reduction. The work will take place in sections to reduce the impact to drivers and allow access along the route. Detours will be in place. Watch for signage.
Paving will take place following the completion of the concrete work and include line painting. The City will send out an advisory about closures and restrictions when this second phase of work begins.
Transit routes may be affected. Riders are encouraged to check with Regina Transit for bus stop and route changes.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience while this important infrastructure work is being completed.
For everyone’s safety, drives are reminded to slow down in construction zones and consider alternate routes to avoid construction. Workers and their families are relying on you.
