What’s in a name? Residents invited to weigh in on street and parking naming

Mon Oct 02 16:08:03 CST 2017

What we call streets and parks says a lot about our values. Those names provide a sense of community and belonging. They play a role in the identity of this city and its people.

The City wants to know what’s important to residents for its civic naming guidelines, currently under review.

General public is invited to an open house to learn about the civic naming guidelines review project and share their thoughts:

Tuesday, October 3
7-8:30 p.m.
mâmawéyatitân centre
3355 6th Avenue

Residents are also encouraged to take an online survey by October 6, found at Regina.ca/naming, and play our “What’s in a name” quiz for a chance to win a cool prize.

For more information, visit Regina.ca/naming. Residents can also submit their thoughts on street and park naming to streetnaming@regina.ca or by calling Service Regina at 306-777-7000.
