Apply for a Demolition Permit

To submit and have your demolition permit approved, complete the following steps:

  1. Complete both a building permit application (check off the demolition box at the top of the form) and a demolition clearance declaration. The declaration states you will take all non-salvageable materials to be disposed of at the City of Regina landfill. If you wish to take material outside the city limits, you will need written approval from the Saskatchewan Environment – Environmental Protection Branch. Use additional paper if you need more space to specify the work being requested in the application or declaration.
  2. If demolishing a commercial, institutional or an industrial building a Hazardous Materials Survey must be completed by an independent qualified engineer or consultant prior to any demolition activities and submit along with demolition permit application.

  3. Obtain any other approvals if required. (For example Saskatchewan Environment – Environmental Protection Branch)
  4. Submit the completed forms, other approvals, and demolition fees to: Building Permits 9th Floor, City Hall 2476 Victoria Avenue PO Box 1790 Regina, SK S4P 3C8 Fax: 306-777-6823 Offices are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays (holidays excepted.)
