Civic bylaws help keep our city clean, healthy and safe. Bylaws are created, interpreted and administered by a number of City departments and divisions.
Bylaw Enforcement’s role is to promote, facilitate and enforce general compliance with the provisions of city bylaws that pertain to the safety and security of the community. Bylaw Enforcement Officers are responsible for:
- Working with residents and community groups to resolve issues through education and enforcement to achieve bylaw compliance
- Investigating property complaints
- Coordinating investigations with internal and external enforcement agencies
It is important to understand your responsibilities as a property owner in Regina. The Regina Community Standards Bylaw outlines minimum maintenance standards for the physical buildings and surrounding land located on a property. The Bylaw applies to both owned and rented properties.
