Group Care Facility
A Group Care Facility is described in Regina Zoning Bylaw No. 9250 as “a supervised residential dwelling unit, licensed or approved under provincial statute, for the accommodation of persons, excluding staff, referred by hospitals, courts, government agencies or recognized social service agencies or health professionals.”
There are three types of group care facilities:
- Supported living home
- Individual and family social services home
- Special care home
Consult with an architect on the design for your group care facility before submitting an application to the City of Regina Planning Division. For more information, call 306-777-7551.
If you are successful
The zoning of your property will not change; the permit will simply allow you to operate the group care facility at your location.
