Parking restrictions are in place from November 1 to April 1. During this time, you are not allowed to park your motor home, travel trailer, fifth wheel trailer or boat anywhere in the front yard, including driveways and legal front yard parking stalls. You can, however, park these vehicles in the side and/or rear yard provided you have no more than two of these vehicles on your property, that any unlicensed vehicle is in operable condition, and all Traffic Bylaw regulations are met.
Seasonal restrictions do not apply to tent trailers, truck campers, canoes, kayaks, snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, jet skis, or trailers designed to carry one of these items.
Unlicensed vehicles cannot be parked on City property, including streets and the area between your property line and the sidewalk or curb, at any time.
These restrictions balance the need for convenient storage options for seasonal vehicle owners while maintaining a safe environment for motorists and pedestrians. More information about parking your seasonal vehicle can be found in the brochure, Where to Park Your Home Away from Home.
