Youth Firesetter Intervention Program

While curiosity about fires can be part of normal childhood experience, unsupervised firesetting or playing with matches and lighters is not. Regina Fire & Protective Services provides a structured assessment and intervention for children and guardians concerned about this dangerous behaviour through its Youth Firesetter Intervention Program.

This program has been recognized by Industry magazine Fire Fighting in Canada profiles Regina Fire & Protective Services of their successful intervention and education strategies developed with community partners to decrease the firesetting risk among children in Regina.
