View Early Regina Photographs
The City of Regina Historical Collection contains more than 25,000 photographic prints, slides and negatives from the early 1880s to the 1980s. Many of these images were donated to the Archives by the Regina Public Library in 1992. View details about the photographic collection and other records as part of the Virtual Archive. Some prints have already been scanned as part of the Virtual Archive, and more will be added on an ongoing basis. Be sure to return often for new images!
The City of Regina Historical Collection has aerial photographs which were donated by the City’s Municipal Engineering Department. The 1951 aerial photographs have been scanned and are available in the City of Regina Geographic Information System (GIS). These photographs have been tiled to match the current GIS photographs. Photo tiles from the GIS system (from 1951 or present day) can be purchased for $10 per tile from Planning and Development Division or from the Public Works Division. Contact us for details.
