City Centre | Market Rental

Area 1 - Market Rental Unit

  • 5-year, 100% Tax Exemption
  • Eligibility Criteria under Section 6 of the Housing Incentives Policy:
    • Two-unit building or more
    • Must be in an R2 Zone or higher
    • Must be a purpose-built rental unit; does not include secondary rented units (condominium units being rented)
    • Must be newly-constructed residential units or the conversion of a non-residential building to residential units
    • Must remain rental for a minimum of 10 years (15 years if also receiving a Capital Grant as Affordable Rental Unit)
    • Properties and applicants must not have charges owed to the City of Regina
    • Incentives are not provided where a heritage building has been demolished
    • If mixed-use building, only residential portion of building is eligible
