Our seasonal maintenance programs support the health, attractiveness and economic viability of our community. City crews work hard to clean streets, sweep leaves, plow snow and treat ice so drivers, transit users and pedestrians can travel safely.
Snow & Ice Control
When winter hits, Regina streets are plowed and treated for icy conditions based on a priority system. City crews maintain more than 1,000 kilometres of roads in Regina which is nearly the entire length of Saskatchewan.
Snow routes keep traffic moving and expedite snow plowing after heavy snowfall by declaring a temporary parking ban. Learn more about snow routes, how they are declared and sign up for notifications.
Snow Storage Site
The Snow Storage Site is open 7 days a week during the winter season for permit holders.
Street sweeping and cleaning is completed in the fall and spring to preserve our roads and remove salt, sand, dust, leaves and other debris.
Catch Basins & Drainage
When street and alley catch basins are frozen or filled with debris in the spring, melting snow cannot drain away from alleys, streets, or greenspaces adjacent to your property.
