Access For Persons With Disabilities
The City of Regina is committed to providing services for all residents including those with special needs.
In 2010, City Council established the Accessibility Advisory Committee to advise City Council and Administration on access and other requirements for persons with disabilities. The Committee is comprised of citizens representing the disability community and organizations that provide services to people with disabilities.
The Accessibility Advisory Committee provides a forum for persons with disabilities to raise issues and concerns. They are mandated, in conjunction with the Administration, to hold a minimum of one stakeholder forum per year to review policies, programs and services related to accessibility. As well, the Accessibility Advisory Committee hears Paratransit service appeals in accordance with the Paratransit Policy and Procedure Guide.
