North Central CPTED Project

The 2004 North Central Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Project was developed in cooperation with the City of Regina, the North Central Community Society, Regina Public School Board, Regina Police Service and North Central residents.

CPTED is a tool for examining how an area’s physical features - like lighting, trees and roadways – can influence crime and the opportunities for committing a crime.

The North Central CPTED Project identified key areas for action that targeted streets, alleys and parks.
