Viburnum, Nannyberry


Height and Spread Nannyberry Viburnum shrubs can grow up to 4 metres in height and may have a crown width of 2.5 to 4 metres.

Preferred growing conditions Likes moist, clay to sandy loams and prefers full sun. Does not tolerate drought on uphill slopes or high pH soils.

Form Nannyberry Viburnum are tall shrubs that have dense branches which become more open as branches arch outwards.

Flower/seeds Creamy-white flowers clusters do not give off a scent.

Leaf Nannyberry Viburnum leaves have a serrated edge. They are dark green, shiny and may grow up to 10 cm in length and 5 cm in width. Leaves turn red in the fall.

Bark/wood Bark is brownish-grey.

Berries Small, 1 cm red berries contain a pit.

Pruning Prune to keep shape.

Powdery mildew if the weather is humid.
