Leaf Vanhoutte Spirea leaves are dark blue green on top and silvery-grey on the bottom. Leaves have 3 to 5 lobes with irregular serrated edges. They can be up to 5 centimetres in length and 2 centimetres wide.

Bark/wood Bark is light brown.
