Dewdney Ave. - Fleet St. to Pilot Butte Creek
Starting at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, June 17, a major rehabilitation project begins on Dewdney Avenue between Fleet Street and the Pilot Butte Creek. This project will improve drivability and pedestrian safety, as well as replace aging infrastructure. Work will be completed in phases and includes replacing water connections, isolated repairs of sidewalks, curbs and gutters, followed by paving. This 14 week project is dependent on weather or unforeseen circumstances.
The first phase is to replace water connections and this work is expected to be completed in three weeks. Dewdney Avenue will be closed to traffic between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily in sections:
- Dewdney Avenue between Fleet Street and Bentley Drive
- Dewdney Avenue between Bentley Drive and Brown Street
The concrete and paving phases will also be closed to traffic and completed in sections.
Traffic will be detoured. Watch for signs. Concrete and paving is expected to be complete in 11 weeks.
Transit routes may be affected. Riders are encouraged to check with Regina Transit for bus stop and route changes.
