Rick Hansen Optimist Playground

Starting October 1, 2024 , the access road to Rick Hansen Optimist Playground will be closed to facilitate resurfacing of the playground area and to keep park users safe during construction. The playground and access road to the park/playground are scheduled to re-open in one month. A limited number of parking stalls on the east side of the parking lot will remain open during this time. Park users are asked to use the sidewalk along McCarthy and access the AE Wilson multi-use pathway at Wascana Creek.

The Rick Hansen Optimist Playground washrooms are closed for the season.
