Broad Street – 4th Avenue North
Starting at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, crews will begin replacement of the pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection of Broad Street and the 4th Avenue North.
Work will begin by installing concrete pole bases, followed by junction boxes, underground wiring, pedestrian poles, controllers, overhead lighting and signs, and finally, activating the pedestrian crosswalk.
To help keep traffic moving in the area with minimal disruption to the travelling public, this project will be completed intermittently in phases over the next four weeks, weather dependant.
Drivers may want to consider alternate routes as traffic will be restricted to one lane, dependant on the side crews are working on. Crews will work between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. as they progress through each stage of the installation and restrictions will be removed at night. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
