Hillsdale Street – Broad Street to 23rd Avenue
Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 14, a Street Infrastructure Renewal project begins along Hillsdale Street between Broad Street and 23rd Avenue to replace sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, curbs and gutters, resurface the roadway, as well as install a multi-use pathway. This project will improve drainage, extend the lifecycle of the infrastructure and promotes a more active community with safer, connected pathways.
Work will be completed in two phases starting with the concrete replacement for phase one, followed by removal and paving of the asphalt road surface for phase two. The City will advise residents of phase two restrictions as the work progresses.
Phase one is anticipated to be completed in two months. Drivers may want to consider alternate routes as traffic on Hillsdale Street will be restricted to one lane in both directions in one to two block sections at a time. Crews will begin working in the southbound lanes at Broad Street and progress toward 23rd Avenue. Once complete, crews will move to the northbound lanes and work their way back. Access to businesses will be maintained. Watch for signs.
This project is weather dependent.
