Ross Avenue – Winnipeg Street to Park Street
Project update: Starting at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, the Ross Avenue Street Infrastructure Renewal project will begin work between McDonald Street and Park Street.
Eastbound traffic on Ross Avenue will be restricted to one lane and all westbound traffic will be detoured for four weeks.
Starting on Monday, May 3, a Street Infrastructure Renewal project begins on Ross Avenue between Winnipeg Street and Park Street to replace sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, curbs and gutters, as well as resurface the roadway to improve drainage, extend the lifecycle of the road and create a smoother driving experience.
Work will be completed in two phases starting with the concrete replacement for phase one, then removing and paving of the asphalt road surface for phase two. The City will advise residents of phase two restrictions as the work progresses.
Phase one is expected to be completed by early August. Drivers may want to consider alternate routes as traffic on Ross Avenue will be restricted in one to two block sections at a time. Crews will begin at Winnipeg Street and progress eastbound to Park Street.
