As part of a pilot project, three parks in Regina have been permanently designated as pesticide-free, which means that the City does not apply chemical or biological treatments for weed, insect or gopher control:
- Gordon Park, 3509 Gordon Road,
- Al Pickard Park, 343N Pickard Street. and
- Queen Elizabeth II Court, City Hall, 2476 Victoria Avenue
In the unlikely event of a pest infestation that cannot be controlled by other means, the option exists to use pesticides as a last resort.
