Arenas & Outdoor Skating Rinks

The City maintains and operates eight indoor arenas, over 50 outdoor skating rinks and six shinny sites. Arenas are open for public skating from September to March. The outdoor ice season is weather dependant. Outdoor skating rinks typically operate from mid-December to mid-February.

Mandatory Masks:
All indoor fitness participants must wear a non-medical masks, excluding aquatic activities.
Register for a Program or Drop-In Class

View the number of remaining spots and register for drop-in programs and activities in advance online or call the PlayLine at 306-777-PLAY (7529). For help, check out our How To Register Online Instructions.

Register Online

Need to cancel a lane swim, leisure swim or strength and conditioning booking? Email your full name, facility location and activity as soon as possible to BookingCancel@regina.ca. Emails are monitored Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or call the PlayLine at 306-777-PLAY (7529) during business hours. Cancellations must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance.

How to Register Online for Public Skate

Register for Public Skate

For the health and safety of residents and arena staff, and to contain the spread of COVID-19, registration for all drop-in public skating is highly recommended. Registrations can be made beginning on Thursdays the week before you wish to skate. Leisure Passholders will be free - all other registrations will have an applicable admission fee that is to be paid upon arrival at the facility. If you have a coupon, you can redeem at the facility.

When to Call Playline at 306-777-7529:

  • If you do not have or you are unsure if you have a Regina Recreation Online account.
  • If you need to cancel or change your drop-in public skate registration.

How to Register Online

  1. Log into your Regina Recreation Online account
  2. Find the location and time you want and select Add to Cart 
  3. Select the family members you wish to register by clicking Register Another Participant for this Activity until completed
  4. For Free Skates - select Proceed to Shopping Cart - you're done! 
  5. For Paid Skates - When prompted, select Yes if you have a membership and No if you have a coupon or don't have a membership. Click Next. Then select Proceed to Shopping Cart.

    Book an Indoor Arena

    Arena bookings for October to March are accepted from March 15 to 31 each year. Off-season booking for April to September are accepted October 1 to 15. Applications received after the deadlines will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    Outdoor Skating Rinks

    Outdoor ice sites are available for public use on a first-come, first-serve basis, unless previously reserved for a community or private use.

    All outdoor rinks are subject to weather conditions. Skaters are asked to use their judgment when using the outdoor rinks and not to skate on them if the surface is wet. Ice Shelters will remain closed when there is an extreme cold weather alert.

    Information.
    It’s important to stay off the ice and away from all bodies of water including Wascana Lake and creek, storm channels, ponds and recreational lakes in residential areas. Although the ice might look frozen, all bodies of water are extremely dangerous. If you see anyone playing on the ice or near dangerous water, call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500. In case of an emergency call 911.
