Office of the City Manager

Niki AndersonNiki Anderson, City Manager

Niki Anderson became City Manager in November 2022, joining the City of Regina with more than 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles in both the public and private sector.

She held previous leadership roles with the City of Edmonton as Deputy Fire Chief (Planning and Office of Emergency Management) and Executive Officer, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services. Prior to that, Niki was with the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and a Managing Partner with Uniglobe Geo Travel. She also spent one year in Afghanistan providing logistics start-up expertise to the Department of National Defense.

Strategic Priorities

From 2021 to 2022 Administration and Council worked together to develop the City’s 2022-25 Strategic Priorities. The Strategic Priorities guide operational business planning and are the foundation of the City’s budget planning. Investments are assessed on how they moved forward services, programs and projects in alignment with the City’s Strategic Priorities.

An overarching theme connecting the Strategic Priorities reinforces an Indigenous worldview that our relationship with the land is foundational, and our respect and care for this relationship informs and influences our decision-making.
