Colour Requirements Form

Businesses and organizations that have specific branding colour requirements (e.g. part of a franchise with decor colour requirements, specific operational needs, etc.) can apply for a waiver of bin colour requirements. Approved applicants must still comply with all other requirements in The Waste Management Bylaw 2012-63, Sections 37.3-37.4.

Approval Process:

The City will contact the applicant by email to confirm receipt of the Request to Waive Bin Colour Requirements and ask any clarifying questions no later than 48 hours after the request is submitted. 
The City will review the request to ensure it meets the eligibility criteria. 
The City will notify applicants if their request has been approved or denied no later than 10 business days after submission. 
Request approval is at the discretion of the Director of Water, Waste & Environment.
