Garbage Cart Size Request Form
*If you have previously submitted a cart exchange request, we have you on our list! Please do not submit another request.
On January 1, 2024, there will be a new fee for waste on the utility bill based on the size of garbage cart. It is set as follows:
-240L - $0.53/day or $193.45/year
-360L - $0.78/day or $284.70/year
This charge includes the costs associated with collection and processing the 240L Food and Yard Waste cart, the 360L Recycling cart and your chosen size of Garbage cart.
Please use the form below to specify which size of garbage cart you prefer. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
Requests for a smaller garbage cart:
· The current projected timeline for a smaller garbage cart is Spring 2024.
· Wait times to receive your new cart depend on request volumes, weather and cart supply.
· Exchange requests will be accepted year-round; however, cart exchanges will not occur during the winter months.
· Please note: If you have requested a smaller cart, you will be charged for the smaller cart even if you haven’t yet received it.
· It could take up to 14 days for your utility account to be updated.
· You will receive an email with additional information when your cart is ready to be exchanged.
Requests for a larger garbage cart:
· Wait times to receive your new cart depend on request volumes, weather and cart supply.
· Exchange requests will be accepted and completed year-round.
· Please note: If you have requested a larger cart, you will not be charged the higher rate until you have received your larger cart.
· It could take up to 14 days for your utility account to be updated.
· Please leave your garbage cart out until 3 p.m. on collection days until you receive the larger cart.
