Bus Operator Jobs

The City of Regina's Transit Services provide safe, reliable, affordable, and accessible transportation for residents and visitors through a regularly scheduled, fixed-route transit system.

Regina Transit routinely recruits applicants to become part of a pool of qualified Bus Operators who are trained to step into permanent positions as positions become open and available.

Regina Transit operates seven days per week and Bus Operator shifts can vary substantially. Working hours can include split shifts, weekends, early mornings, late nights, and statutory holidays. As this is a unionized environment, shift scheduling and vacation requests are based on seniority.

City of Regina Bus Operators are skilled professional drivers who provide excellent customer service while transporting citizens in a safe and courteous manner. Bus Operators are expected to follow all applicable traffic rules and regulations, assist passengers with transit information, transport passengers on schedule, ensure correct fees are deposited, and secure passengers as required. Safety and customer service are of the utmost importance. City of Regina Bus Operators demonstrate courtesy and tact when dealing with the public as well as initiative, sound judgement and superior skill in operating a bus in a wide range of weather and road conditions.
