City Seeks Local Artists to Showcase Art in City Parks
The City of Regina has opened a Call for Artists whose original artwork could be displayed in City parks and open spaces. The artwork will contribute to the vibrancy of our more than 830 hectares of parks and over 120 kilometres of multi-use pathways, spaces that residents enjoy all year long.
Through the Call for Artists, five diverse works of art will be selected to display in parks across the city via a vinyl wrap on water service boxes. The chosen designs will resonate with Regina’s landscape and will provoke thoughts about the diversity of people who use the park, as well as natural flora and fauna.
Preference will be given to artists with a connection and relationship to Regina and Treaty Four Territory. Artists can submit a proposal including a full colour image (photo, rendering, sketch) of the proposed piece, their biography and examples of past works. Deadline for proposal submission is June 27, 2023 at 4 p.m. with installation of the vinyl wraps taking place in August and September 2023.
