Waste Reduction Week runs from October 21-27 and is part of Circular Economy Month – a national public education campaign dedicated to empowering Canadians to support an economy that protects the planet and prioritizes people. During this important week, the City of Regina is encouraging residents to learn more about the waste they produce and find innovative ways to divert it away from the landfill. The City offers tips and tricks to help residents reduce their waste at Regina.ca/reduce.
In 2018, Regina City Council set a goal for Regina to become a net-zero community by 2050. To help reach this goal, the City has outlined a framework with Seven Big Moves. Residents can learn more about this framework at Regina.ca/renewable.
