Regina Packed with Activities for Labour Day Weekend

There’s plenty happening in Regina this Labour Day weekend, with a variety of family-friendly events and activities planned throughout the city from Friday through Monday.

“This upcoming weekend is always busy for Regina with the Labour Day Classic, and businesses, retailers and hotels are ready to welcome visitors,” said Jennifer Johnson, Deputy City Manager, Communications, Service Regina and Tourism. “There is lots for residents to do as well and we encourage everyone to explore Regina and enjoy the excitement surrounding the game.”

Six life-sized exploration pins will be placed at locations across Regina to highlight activities happening over the weekend. These oversized pin markers create shareable photo moments, promote local businesses and build community pride. Activities taking place over the weekend include:

1. Saskatchewan Science Centre - Test your football skills and hunt for Gainer the Gopher.
2. Royal Saskatchewan Museum - Snap a photo with Scotty, trigger the team roar buttons and grab an exclusive custom bag tag (first 200 visitors in team jerseys!).
3. RCMP Heritage Centre - Track down six hidden RCMP/CFL trading cards across the galleries.
4. Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame - Explore the 65-year history of Rider cheerleading, watch the official 1966 Grey Cup film and pose with the iconic Taylor Field championship flag.
5. Casino Regina - Spin to win up to $100 in free play on the slot machines.
6. Local Market - Fuel up with an exclusive green-and-blue Rider vs. Bomber smoothie, available only this weekend!
