Fire & Protective Services fire station tours have a primary focus on fire safety education and
the services firefighters provide in the community. Station tours last approximately 20 to 30
minutes and are located within the garage portion of the fire station. During a tour, firefighters
provide age-appropriate fire safety messages and tour guests around the fire truck to display
various rescue tools. Age Requirements It is strongly recommended, for safety reasons, that
children are at least 4 years of age before attending a tour of the fire station. The firefighters
remain ‘at the ready’ during the tour and may have to leave to respond to an emergent situation.
Given the size of the apparatus, the nature of the building and the purpose of the visit, this
activity is most appropriate for children 4 years and older. Maximum Attendees At this time, we can
accommodate a maximum of thirty (30) people for a station tour. Processing Times To request a
station tour, please complete the form below indicating three preferred date/time options and we
will do our best to accommodate your request. A minimum of two weeks is required for request
processing. If we are unable to accommodate your request, we will contact you as soon as possible.
