Closure of Some Outdoor Rinks Due to Warm Weather
Several of the City’s outdoor rinks are temporarily closed due to recent warm temperatures causing ice to melt and exposing underlying turf and aggregate. Residents are asked to stay off these affected ice surfaces for safety and to prevent further damage.
These closures are temporary. Surfaces are being monitored daily, and additional closures may occur if warm weather continues.
If temperatures drop again, crews will attempt to rebuild ice surfaces where possible until the program officially ends or weather conditions prevent further maintenance.
Skaters can still enjoy the outdoor rinks that remain open, as well as the City’s indoor arenas. Locations are available at Regina.ca/Rinks
The City will provide daily updates on the status of all outdoor rinks during this warm spell at Regina.ca/Rinks
