Residents should expect moving traffic restrictions along 11th Avenue as work moves east to west beginning at Scarth Street.
Current and Upcoming Restrictions:
- June 23
- The current construction closure is from Albert St. to Cornwall St.
- Sidewalks on the northwest and southwest corners of Lorne St. will be closed. Please follow detour signs. Sidewalk access to businesses will remain in place.
- Pedestrian crossings across 11th Ave. are available at Smith St. and at the alleyway between Lorne St. and Cornwall St.

Project Outcomes
- Rebuild roads, install new sidewalks and pedestrian ramps
- Replace or upgrade aging underground infrastructure
- Replace traffic signals and street lighting
- New landscaping to beautify the streetscape
- Replace the transit shelters with new, fully enclosed shelters with heating and lighting

Timeline
- This is a four-year construction project that began in spring 2023.
- Construction will resume April 2026. This year the 11th Avenue Revitalization Project will focus on completing work between Scarth Street and Cornwall Street, then the project will move into its final stages between Cornwall Street and Albert Street.
