Current Restrictions:
- On 11th Avenue, the street and north sidewalk will be closed from Scarth Street to Cornwall started April 6, 2026.
- Starting on April 13, 2026, 11th Avenue will be closed from Cornwall Street to Smith Street, however sidewalks remain open.
- McIntyre Street and 11th Avenue intersection will be restricted to one lane from April 13 to 24, 2026.
Project Outcomes
- Rebuild roads, install new sidewalks and pedestrian ramps
- Replace or upgrade aging underground infrastructure
- Replace traffic signals and street lighting
- New landscaping to beautify the streetscape
- Replace the transit shelters with new, fully enclosed shelters with heating and lighting

Timeline
This is a four-year construction project that began in spring 2023.
Construction will resume April 2026. This year the 11th Avenue Revitalization Project will focus on completing work between Scarth Street and Cornwall Street, then the project will move into its final stages between Cornwall Street and Albert Street.
