To reduce the risk of surface ponding and basement flooding, the storm sewer system within the Al Richie neighbourhood will be upgraded. Details of the construction plans are included in the information below.
As part of a three-year project, with the first year of construction occurring in Candy Cane Park last year, year two will see work taking place in the residential area of Al Richie from March to October 2026 and March to October 2027, pending weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Every effort will be made to minimize inconveniences during construction, however, temporary disruption to water services in this neighbourhood may be unavoidable. The City of Regina (City) will make every effort to give residents advanced notice of any intermittent water service disruptions. Detailed notices will be sent to residents in advance of any disruptions.
