Councillor Mark Burton is sitting for his first term as a member of Regina City Council, representing the residents of Ward 4.
Biography
Mark was born and raised in Regina. He has been a homeowner in Ward 4 for over 30 years and a promoter of the City of Regina for his entire life.
Mark is currently a Technology Architect performing strategic planning in telecommunications. He previously performed technology work in the banking, insurance, and healthcare industries and has worked in both the public and private sectors.
Mark has been a leader in the community and an active volunteer with many organizations including youth swimming, rowing, canoe-kayak, dragon boat, and minor hockey. He promotes volunteerism as an important component of a vibrant, active community.
Mark’s passions are downhill skiing and hockey, where he is an accomplished goaltender and plays weekly both summer and winter.
Mark has been married to his wife, Marj, for over 30 years. They have three grown children, Max, Joel, and Ellen.
